Case Details
The patient is a woman who had breast augmentation and then exchange for a larger size elsewhere. She presented because she was dissatisfied with the contour deformity on the left lateral breast. We discussed that she would require capsulectomy (removal of orange peel like scar tissue) to allow the implant to expand into the breast as oppose to expanding inferiorly. She presented again years later with a deflation on the right implant. The left was deflated prior to operation to allow the implant capsules to equalize. She then underwent bilateral capsulectomy with exchange for larger silicone implants.
