Welcome To

Wigod Plastic Surgery

The Coivid-19 / Corona virus Pandemic has changed all of our daily realities and expectations for the future.  At Wigod Plastic Surgery, in accordance with our Specialty Society, OR Accrediting Organization, and Government Policy, we have suspended all elective surgery as of mid March until an unknown time in the future.  The suspension is to help preserve scarce personal protective equipment for health care workers providing urgent and emergent care and to contribute to social distancing.

Recently operated upon patients and all patients with urgent or emergent problems will be seen as needed in person and / or by Telehealth.  Our Telehealth application is HIPPA compliant and easy to use.

Patients who were on our operative schedule and were cancelled will be rescheduled as local conditions / standards and availability of supplies allow.  Rescheduling will be based on original date of planned surgery and on relative risk level to the patient.  Shorter cases on the healthiest patients are less likely to require hospital admission.

Patients who are scheduled for new consults or returning patient consults will be offered the option to reschedule for approximately one month from the original appointment date or have a Virtual Consultation by Telehealth.   Before having a Virtual Consultation, new patients must complete our online Electronic Health Record  and submit standardized photos via the EHR portal.  Please call so the office staff can explain policies assist you step by step.

Patients who are seeking a consult and were not on our schedule before the suspension will be seen in person or by Virtual Consultation as the schedule allows.

From Dr. Wigod and all the staff at Wigod Plastic Surgery, we wish you safety, security, and peace during this difficult time.
