Meadow Lake Surgery Center, our in building operative facility, is accredited by AAAASF. Besides being good practice, it is also required to be a member in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Additionally, we are accredited by CMS, a federal government agency. This is required by insurers before they will allow their patients to be operated upon in our facility.
What does this mean? It means that specific to an ambulatory surgery center, we follow the same set of guidelines that any large hospital must meet. This requires a tremendous amount of time, effort, and money, but is necessary to make sure that we are performing at the standard of care and to keep our patients confident in our facility.
We have a 1 day building inspection coming up, followed by another 1 day patient care and records inspection. Patients may see the inspectors, but should not be disturbed by them. We hope our efforts will continue to distinguish us from other local non accredited facilities. Wish us good luck.
