Web Log – November 2017 – Cancer Risk Factors

A majority of my practice is devoted to improving how my patient’s look.  The reasons to seek improvement may be pregnancy changes, dissatisfaction with a particular feature since birth, or aging changes.  I also perform breast reconstruction post mastectomy, so I see many cancer survivors.  It impresses me that the factors putting us at risk for cancer are also ones that contribute to aging – tobacco and sun exposure.  Ones we don’t usually associate with cancer, however, are obesity and lack of exercise.  Cell phones and caffeine are not on the list (one of these may actually be good for you).  Click to read a nice summary article.
