Plastic Surgery comes under the heading of self improvement. People decide to have surgery when the desire for the benefits are greater than the cost, recovery, and potential risks. It typically takes months to years ( or even decades as for our case of the month ) from the time a patient first considers surgery to the time she actually rolls into the operating room. Surgery is not necessarily right for everyone, but properly selected and counseled patients are usually quite happy with their decision.
