The patient is a young woman who had external valve collapse (her nostrils could not support strong inspiration) as well as a dorsal hump. She had a rhinoplasty with septum harvested for cartilage grafts to support the tip and nostrils like a tripod. She had improved breathing with a structurally stable nose as well as less deviation and reduced dorsal hump.
Her 6 month results were initially presented as a case of the month. She is now 18 months post op and demonstrates improved aesthetics as the result matures. This is consistent with many nose surgeries.
