The patient is woman who had a nice result with her breast augmentation, but after several years, desired to be larger. With stretch of her tissues over the intervening years, her request for a change from 350 to 500 cc silicone implants could be accommodated. An important part of informed consent is patient understanding and acceptance of the trade off that exchange for a larger volume implant may accelerate tissue thinning and implant descent. Most times, the size increase must be greater than 100 cc to be noticeable and worthwhile.
